Responsibilities
Database Management
- Design and implement a robust wastewater quality database to house crucial data accurately and readily accessible.
- Continuously analyze and report on collected data to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and adherence to relevant regulations.
Wastewater System Assessment
- Conduct thorough evaluations of existing wastewater systems to establish baseline data.
- Identify areas for improvement, recommend optimization strategies, and monitor system performance.
- Proactively contribute to enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of wastewater treatment processes.
Reporting and Communication
- Prepare and deliver regular reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) on wastewater management activities and performance metrics.
- Collaborate effectively with Cluster Staff and stakeholders to disseminate relevant information and foster understanding.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
Environmental Compliance
- Support the implementation of environmental enforcement strategies and ensure NWC STPs adhere to established procedures and regulations.
- Investigate and address non-compliance issues promptly, developing and implementing effective corrective action plans.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding environmental standards and contributing to sustainable practices.
Incident Management
- Actively participate in investigating environmental incidents related to wastewater management.
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and prevent future occurrences.
- Ensure timely implementation of recommended actions and corrective measures to minimize environmental impact.
Wastewater Quality Improvement
- Analyze data from STP evaluations to identify opportunities for improving discharged wastewater quality.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve wastewater quality issues effectively.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance NWC’s wastewater treatment operations.
Additional Duties
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support the wastewater quality management program.
Qualifications
- Master or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field.
- Minimum Experience of 3 to 7 years in related filed
- Experience in analyzing and testing wastewater samples for key parameters
- knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and environmental regulations, .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address wastewater quality challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications such as Microsoft Microsoft Power BI, Excel analysis, and reporting.
- Certified ISO 14001 Is preferred
