Job Description

The Industrial Investment Promotion Manager will focus on targeting and attracting new significant foreign and domestic investments into JCPDI and be a subject matter and business development expert for Industrial investment attraction in special economic zones (SEZs), regions or industrial parks preferably in the sectors of food processing, metal & mineral processing, or logistics services. This position will execute business development activities, support RC investor incentive programs, provide effective professional responses to investment inquiries and work with potential investors through their decision process to secure new investment into JCPDI.

Major Activities Performed

  • Lead, develop, maintain, and execute the investment promotion plan and aid in investment attraction efforts related to target industry development investment opportunities.
  • Generate new investment leads, identify, and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities and work the RC to select the most actionable opportunities in line with Division Strategies.
  • Provide expert industry business development guidance, based on the current global, regional and future market industry trends for target industries.
  • Research potential investors and competitors in order to identify new opportunities to attract high quality FDI.
  • Business development, lead generation and follow-up of opportunities.
  • Build and manage a network of partners in targeted sectors to develop a pipeline of potential investors.
  • Work with domestic and international companies and sectoral business associations to develop or increase awareness of JCPDI as an investment destination.
  • Review existing investors to identify possible synergies and collaboration, to generate new business.
  • Keep abreast of business development and market trends to provide reports and intelligence as requested by senior management.
  • Attend conferences, meetings and industry events to promote JCPDI and generate new leads.
  • Recommend and/or coordinate updates to Investment Promotion websites, social media and campaigns as needed.
  • Recommend and support the development of marketing plans or campaigns that aim to achieve the goals and targets set within the RC Investment Development Division.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • The successful applicant will be based in JCPDI but will be required to travel extensively both within and outside of the Kingdom.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field from a Western University, MBA/Master’s degree preferable.
  • Minimum 15 years of business development experience, including a minimum of 5 years’ experience in investment promotion.
  • Strong business development background within the regional Middle East experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven track record of generating strong business and attracting investments in projects, including blue-chip investors.
  • Strong ability to identify competitors and identify unique selling points and initiatives to beat them.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Government organizations and current Kingdom level initiatives and policy is preferred but not required.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision, with initiative and proactiveness.
  • Excellent English and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and CRM tools.
