Job Description
You as a Senior Project Manager will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, that develops, manufactures, and sells DC transmission systems on a global market and technology is used for example to transmit power over long distances, on overhead lines or via submarine cables. The project will assist in the creating of project management plans which you will monitor and act upon during the project execution and as local leader for the execution of the project you ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.
Your responsibilities
- Analyzing tendering work, project schedules, creating project management planning and calculating project execution cost.
- Identifying, qualifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
- Driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
- Coordinating and supporting Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.

Your background
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in executing large project and managing under different contractual models.
- Proactive and highly organized, experience in coordinating multiple teams.
- Influencing and engaging leadership skills.
- Financial knowledge and commercial skills to manage the project.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
