Job Description
Key responsibilities for the role include
- Safe testing and commissioning of completed installation to achieve necessary plant performance in accordance with project program me requirements
- Evaluating the Plant Status prior commissioning start as per the approved drawings
- Supervising site team to perform the required commissioning activities according project schedule
- Conducting Process commissioning, Functional, Performance and reliability test for equipment’s and plants
- Supervising control panels, PLC & SCADA testing and commissioning.
- Planning, assigning, supervising, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant including repair and installation of all electronic, electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.
- Coordinate and execute testing and full life cycle of onsite commissioning activities with tight deadlines and in line with specified equipment requirements.
- Monitoring progress and recording all test results witnessing final test and acceptance of equipment and completion of all documents.
- Commissioning plans through the detailed design and installation phase, attend HAZOPS, HAZCOMMs and other risk reduction meetings, arrange and manage sampling activities to be carried out during testing.
- Identifying the problems and shortcomings with existing system and providing advice on operational procedure.
- Installation of systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair and calibration after installation
Skills
- Process Design Calculations involving sizing of various units of ETP, STP & WTP
- Preparation of various Bill of Quantities Viz. List of Mechanical Units, Electrical Load list for various mechanical drives involved in the STP & ETP, List of instruments for all units, Chemical & all other utility consumption data
- Preparation of Process Flow Diagram (PFD), Hydraulic Flow Diagram (HFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Overall Layout Plan of the whole plant
- Good problem solving mind with design calculations for various process
- Good knowledge to operate the computer skills.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
B. Tech in Chemical Engineering OR with equivalent
