Job Description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Controls human resourcing regarding recruiting and personnel database maintenance, appraisal interviews and salary negotiations.
  • Manages necessary certification papers, e.g. endorsements, documents, and certificates of compliance.
  • Develop, implement and maintain quality standards and employment conditions for seafarers.
  • Ensure and Identify, monitor, develop and maintain new and existing seafarer recruitment areas and resources with the objective to maintain and increase Company’s seafarers’ pool.
  • Manages crew delivery process regarding travel, accommodation, visa – Identifies and prioritizes training needs, monitors providers .
  • Develop, implement and maintain standards, policies, processes and systems to establish and maintain an effective safety culture supporting the prevention of losses caused by human error, misbehaviour, wrongdoing or misconduct.
  • Liaise and communicate with clients, unions, professional bodies and other stakeholders so as to identify and define methods to improve sustainable compliance with statutory and other stakeholders’ requirements concerning the recruitment, employment and training of seafarers.
  • Oversees manning compliance with regulations and client requirements.
  • Management of logistics and immigration activities:
  • Provide Review: with regard to the employment of seafarers and identify areas of strengths, weaknesses and improvement of the efficiency of operations and to take corrective action if and when required.
  • Develop, submit and upon approval implement the Office budget and oversee its accurate execution. Identify cost saving opportunities and propose corrective actions in case of deviations to ensure compliance with set targets.
  • Plans, organizes and processes permits, visa and passes.
  • Liaises with necessary immigration authorities.
  • Ensure Coordination spares logistics to / from warehouses, workshops, vessels.
  • Manages company vehicle fleet.
  • Ensure operations/work processes occur in accordance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and any other standards and requirements to which compliance.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all employees and the protection of the environment for all sites/work premises under their control.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

Professional Experience
having at least 8-10 years experience onshore in offshore Industry as crewing manager.

Geographic Experience
International

Computer Skills
MS Office.

Language Skills
Fluent in English, Arabic is an advantage
