You will be working as Water Segment Manager and will be part of Motion business area for Large Motors & Generators division based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Manager and will be responsible to deliver new sales orders received budget for EG Motion in water segment for all our divisions as set in the APP, lead and drive all customer-related sales activities to ensure order received budget achievement for different divisions as targets set in APP, formulate EG Motion sales growth strategies in Africa and coordinate/lead implementation of growth actions with all stakeholders. Cross-boarders coordination with water global and regional teams to ensure actions are driven on local and regional level and targets are achieved, lead the strategic driving for key EG/Africa projects and ensure proper coordination across stakeholders in different LSUs so Motion is well positioned to win.

Your responsibilities

  • Position EG Motion in EG/Africa to win across different applications, commercial side, W&WW applications and differentiate ABB with value-based selling utilizing our full offering portfolio, working closely with Project Pump OEMs, Serial OEMs, EPCs and consulting in full coordination with PMMs to position MO in EG/Africa to win the targeted business volumes for all divisions
  • Delivering or exceed sales targets to increase MO market share in EG/Africa and supporting in pre-qualifying new offerings at end-user accounts, regularly following up and reviewing meetings across different levels to ensure actions are implemented as planned and strategy realignment when needed
  • Preparing annual sales plans supported by solid sales pipeline targeting the increase of ABB Market share and penetration Africa, assessing the market for continuously generating new business opportunities across the assigned markets, accounts and through different channels to market
  • Spearheading the sales expansion plans across EG/Africa, establishing robust long term strong relationships with key players in the market, setting winning strategies, price positioning in full coordination with PMMs Team, working in tandem with assigned capture teams for key projects to ensure ABB is well positioned to win
  • Running HO meetings with operations to ensure smooth execution and delivery for orders won, working closely with customers during budgeting and CAPEX planning phase to differentiate ABB, promoting and position MODP, MOIM,MOLM and MOSD offerings into the market to become the partner of choice for customers in Africa
  • Pursuing large scale projects in Africa, adapting new models and G2M set up to win granular opportunities differentiating ABB from competition, defining player map in key projects and strategize sales actions accordingly to position MO to win, ensuring expanding coverage in areas, customers, accounts and segments where ABB has no presence
  • Competition analysis to sharpen ABB sales force and enhancing our competitive edge in the market, tune case by case the sales approach and pricing strategies in cooperation with PMMs team in line with opportunities and projects mapping to keep ABB well positioned to win
  • Defining, recording and archiving account plans for assigned accounts including player maps, contacts, risks, opportunities, challenges and future investment plans, running groundwork with sales excellence in the marketplace to develop sales pipeline for MO for all divisions, matching MO offering Portfolio for all divisions with customer requirements and ensure optimum solutions proposed
  • Selling MO products and solution full portfolio across the different applications in Africa following the recommended channels to market and G2M strategies, collaborating with service division to position energy efficiency proposition in Africa, closely and continuously following up with customers and supporting functions to ensure invoicing and collection on time whenever needed

Your background

  • Bachelor’s Degree Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in sales and business development
  • Work experience across different industries and markets, having financial and commercial background
  • Fluency in both English language is mandatory
