Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment’s including engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, And other components.
  • Manage all kind of maintenance & repair works reported in Asset Management Workshops at various locations Spread across Mesaieed and Industrial Area
  • Analyze the maintenance and repair work are completed efficiently and effectively by reviewing and approving the System generated work orders.
  • Manage a team of mechanics, technicians, and maintenance staffs for the effective execution of comprehensive  Maintenance program.
  • Assign tasks, provide guidance, and monitor employee’s performance according to work scope and given time for All the workshop and field maintenance activities.
  • Provide training and mentorship to maintenance personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge of heavy Equipment maintenance.
  • Control costs and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures.
  • Review and approve the completed work orders / Job Cards and the related paperwork required to complete the Job (work order, parts order, estimation, invoices, delivery notes, etc) accurately and timely.
  • Set priority of repairs in coordination with the mechanic taking into consideration availability of manpower and Spare parts.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, diagnose faults, and recommend necessary repair Works.
  • Develop and maintain Preventive and corrective maintenance program inclusive of all associated forms and Procedures.
  • Ensure that all vehicles and equipment follow the maintenance plan schedules.
  • Develop thorough knowledge in all MILAHA Equipment and their Maintenance / reliability needs.
  • Determine the Needed manpower and resources to achieve the reliability and availability of objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators for all types of in-house equipment and establish the true cost of each man-Hour of each category.
  • Develop and train the maintenance team.
  • Develop maintenance staff capabilities on troubleshooting and effective systematic methodologies for corrective Maintenance.
  • Authorize major overhauls and maintenance initiatives.
  • Provide input to equipment owners on maintenance impact on all types of equipment in house as standard input [Needed for determining what to be hired, purchased, discarded, life expectancy, etc
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment needed for maintenance and repairs.
  • Review spare parts requisitions. •Order parts as necessary and track inventory levels.
  • Evaluate manpower sufficiency and performance formulating M&R Estimation (Quotation)
  • Prepare quotes and final costs for all repair works and report discrepancies on parts and machineries.
  • Determine the spare part stock requirement for all MILAHA equipment and the special tools to carry out the Maintenance function effectively.
  • Maintain full chronological maintenance history (Failure causes, Maintenance resources, spare parts consumed) For each equipment inclusive of PM activities.
  • Ensure that all hazard materials such as paints, lube oil, oxygen / acetylene bottles are allocated on appropriate  Storage and the users are fully aware of its safety data sheets.
  • Ensure full compliance with the safety goals, objectives, and procedures towards achieving zero LTI.
  • Understands and follows all safety rules and proper procedures associated with the responsibilities of the job.
  • Available during off-hours for rescheduling, technical assistance, and emergency response
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Department Manager. 

Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Master’s degree preferred

Professional Experience

  • Minimum  3-5 years of experience in oil and gas industries in the related position
  • Must have good knowledge of equipment maintenance drawings, repair procedures

Geographic Experience

  • GCC experiences preferred
  • Valid Qatar driving license is advantage

Computer and Language Skills

  • Proficiency in computer applications for record-keeping and reporting as well as experience of ERP systems.

Market / Industry /Functional Knowledge

  • Must have extensive knowledge of equipment maintenance drawings, and site repair procedures of all electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems .

Related Professional Training, Certification, or Membership

Mandatory

  • Must be strong in hydraulic and electrical trouble shooting that includes how to read Hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Preferred

  • Must have wide knowledge / experience and troubleshooting of the following crane Liebherr Or DEMAG Or GROVE, Tadano.
