Job Description
We are seeking a driven and strategic individual to join our team as a Strategy and ESG Manager. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future by developing and implementing long-term strategies while integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into all aspects of our water and wastewater operations.
Responsibilities
- The study will analyze the water and wastewater sector in Saudi Arabia and the region, identifying emerging trends, opportunities, and risks, including those related to adjacent sectors.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate strategy aligned with the company’s vision and mission, ensuring its long-term sustainability and growth in the water and wastewater market.
- The individual is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive ESG framework, setting ambitious goals for environmental performance, social responsibility, and good governance in the water and wastewater industry.
- Oversee data collection, analysis, and reporting of ESG metrics, ensuring transparency and adherence to relevant reporting standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Development, EPC, and O&M departments to integrate ESG best practices into the entire water and wastewater project lifecycle, from planning and construction to operation and maintenance.
- Stay abreast of evolving ESG regulations and best practices within the water and wastewater sector, as well as adjacent industries.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field, with a focus on water or wastewater management preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in strategy development, sustainability, or a related field, with experience in the water and wastewater industry a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles and frameworks as they apply to the water and wastewater industry, including familiarity with Tadawul ESG Disclosure Guidelines, GRI Standards, and UN SDGs.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting methodologies in the context of ESG for water and wastewater projects.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a plus.
