Service Technician

Job Description

Do you have experience from the pump industry combined with a commercial mindset? Do you want to use your broad technical knowledge and deep customer understanding to support our local Service organization and act as a mentor for the Service Professionals? Then we have an interesting position in Grundfos to cover Middle East.

What is the job about? 

As a Service Technician, you will apply broad expert technical knowledge and after-sales service to the regional/global market for Grundfos supplied services and solutions. Responsible for troubleshooting methodology for new and existing products. Demonstrates high degree of understanding of customer needs.

Your main responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems and equipment. This includes machinery such as pumps, motors, control panels and related accessories.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and protocols is crucial, must adhere to safety standards when working with electrical and mechanical equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed service reports of findings, maintenance activities, repairs, equipment performance, and recommendations or preventive actions.
  • Should be well disciplined, punctual, and adhering to company purpose, key behaviors and values.
  • Collaborate, seek guidance’s and work closely with Service Manager, Service engineers/technicians, service coordinators in day-to-day activities and service operations.
  • Continuous Learning and Development and stay updated with advances in technology by participating in company provided online and F2F training programs, workshops, or by self-learning to enhance skills and knowledge 

Your background

  • High School, Diploma or Equivalent with at least 5-6 years of relevant experience
  • Possess industry experience within a business environment; experience working in a large manufacturing environment is much appreciated.
  • Solid knowledge of the plans, processes and activities within the functional area in the service environment
  • Good ability to influence others
  • Possess a great understanding of the relevant systems, local laws and regulations where applicable, for the service environment
