The Role:  Senior Service Sales Engineer


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Service Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving service sales by leveraging their technical expertise, understanding of customer needs, and strong communication skills. will be responsible for promoting and selling our service offerings, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the growth of the service business.


  • Possess in-depth knowledge of our service offerings and their technical aspects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive services.

  • Stay abreast of digital trends, emerging technologies, and their application to customer needs.
  • Identify and pursue new service sales opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities in digital service sales with existing and potential clients.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and convert prospects into clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their digital transformation needs and expectations.
  • Provide technical support during the pre-sales and post-sales phases.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution in the digital domain.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, quotes, and presentations to clients.
  • Work closely with the technical team to develop customized solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer interactions and market demands.
  • Responsible for selection of spare parts without written specifications and submitting sales forecasts supported by market trends, competition, etc., and provides follow-up information on quoted jobs as outlined by the Aftermarket Manager.
  • Stays abreast of the service industry trends, evolutions and applications.
  • Keeps Management informed of competitive conditions and makes recommendations on product changes, additions, or new products with major potential.
  • Comply with all health and safety initiatives to ensure the Company remains a safe workplace.



  • A bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 6 – 8 years of sales/engineering experience in Service, aftermarket business environment.
  • Experience and success in sales of products and services within the water, wastewater, industrial, and building services industry including centrifugal pumps and other rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, controls or rotating equipment and aspects of operation, installation, and maintenance.
  • The ability to work with detailed specifications and industry standards.
  • The ability to manage multiple, divergent priorities, and work independently with a high degree of accuracy to meet customer requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to foster collaboration, accountability, and customer-centricity.  Professional telephone skills and good written and verbal English language communication skills to receive and give information and make presentations.
  • A customer service focus, sense of urgency to meet or exceed customer expectations, and achieve daily commitments.
  • Highly organized and focused on meeting goals and objectives.
  • Rotating equipment troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing is a must.
  • Ability to prepare a preventive, proactive and corrective maintenance bulletins.
  • The willingness to travel up to 50%, if necessary, within the territory and the country (fleet vehicle provided). Thus, candidates should be able to maintain valid identification.
  • Experience from a Pump Industry with a hands on service sales exposure in the related business unit
  • Certificates of the relevant courses and trainings in the areas of the customer based communication, value based selling, product trainings, serving customers, presenter, trainer and other business related areas.
  • IT proficiency (Microsoft Office tools/ CRM)

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good presentation and influencing/negotiation skills.  Creative and lateral thinker and a good team member.  Good interpersonal ability and networking skills.  Should be able to operate independently with minimal supervision. Good English written and oral communication skills
  • Driving license is a requirement to perform in this job
  • Due to the nature of the business, the jobholder will often be required to work non standard office hours and traveling. The jobholder should have the ability to cope with several demanding customer/situations simultaneously and these must be dealt with tactfully at all times. Also should be available online & mobile on a 24hrs basis in case of requirements / emergency. Would be required to visit the sites along with the customer and ensure that service agreed upon is delivered.


  • Thorough knowledge and positive demonstration of the company’s purpose, values, code of conduct, business model and related processes, services and price / discount structure / policies.
  • Must have the ability to listen and demonstrate good command of English both spoken and written with working knowledge of other languages used in the region, preferably Arabic.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels both within the company and externally.
  • Able to critically analyse data and to propose solutions to problems.
  • Should be able to operate in an international domain at all levels with a minimum travel time of 100 days per year where necessitated.
