- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Candidate Profile
Activities
- The Senior Project Developer ensures the project meets all the conditions required for construction, by securing and finalizing the aces (permits, offtake, grid connection and site), the financing and the contractors’ selection leading a multidisciplinary team on all aspects (technical, financial, legal, etc.), preparing the investment file alongside the Business Developer who focuses on originating the project and maintaining partner’s relationships.
The Senior Project Developer specifically manages the permitting process and ensures that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained in a timely and cost-effective manner. This can involve working closely with regulatory agencies, government officials, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
Origination activities:
· Contributes to the maturation of the opportunity with the Business Developer on the project development/ tender preparation strategy, budget & schedule, refines the potential partnership strategy, clarifies risks and opportunities, reviews the matured opportunity etc
Acquisition:
- Supports the acquisition of portfolio & projects assets by coordinating due diligence activities with other REN stakeholders, supports the preparation of memos for management review, makes recommendations to management about the acquisition project, etc
Project Development
- Develops and manages development strategy and project development plans to & deliver project on time, quality including H3SE, and budget, in line with Company’s requirements:
- Defines schedules and manages deadlines
- Conducts risk assessments & mitigation
- Constructs project budget to drive project progress
- Coordinates internal stakeholders and manages suppliers/subcontractors, in coordination with the Business Developer
- Direct interactions with external stakeholders as landowners, local & relevant authorities, public entities, advisors, grid operator, TSO electrical compagnies, utilities… in association with the Business Developer
- Leads activities to secure site control (land lease agreement, due diligence if needed, analysis of various reports…), permits and grid connection.
- Coordinates activities for the financial close preparation process under the lead of Transaction & Finance teams and in cooperation with the Business Developer and Owner’s Representative
- Monitors and manages project development risks including identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Ensures the economic viability of the project & prepares inputs for financial projections, reviews the economic analysis & business modelling,
- Implements and manages payment schedules
- Prepares management presentations on project, development status and project economics, manages internal approval, communicates to project team and management regarding changing elements and completes requested management reporting and tracking
- Prepares, with Business Developer, Country Managing Director and Owner’s Representative, the investment file to present the most qualitative dossier, follows the dossier’s review by the Investment control Tower, briefs her/his management for the Investment Committee presentation.
- Creates project data room and maintains project data
- Manages the interfaces with OneTech and engineering to monitor technical development and technical decision-making during project development
- Onboards the Project Execution Manager and oversees the contractors’ selection and contract negotiations
- Ensures the offtake agreement(s) allow for an efficient structuring of the project in close link with other streams (permits, procurement, financing…) and supports internal stakeholders (Business Developer, offtake manager…) to secure it.
- Manages interconnection process
Permitting:
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, architects, contractors, and consultants, to ensure that all necessary information is included in the permit applications and organize answers to question from administration.
- Engages with regulatory agencies and government officials to obtain all permits and approvals, and to address any questions or concerns they may have about the project.
- Manages timelines and budgets for the permitting process and providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
- Ensures compliance with all permit conditions and requirements throughout the construction process and addressing any issues or concerns that arise during this phase.
- Organizes concertation with local stakeholders
- Ensures documents completion and availability
- Prepares handover documentation for the execution phase
Tender preparation:
- Define, with OT & TGP & AM, the contracting strategy and endorse EPC contract in coordination with BD
- Manage joint work with OT, gather and challenge technical hypotheses
- Manage development (progress, budget, planning, admin., governance, business model)
- Mandate & monitor the tender workstreams (project development parts) to answer the tender
- Manage all internal counterparts to prepare the tender answer (legal, HSE, OneTech, AM,…
- Ensure alignment between contract and project optimization
- After alignment with BD, prepare the tender including specs assessment, stakeholder onboarding, refine strategy, define team org chart (for tender submission)
Other activities:
- Analyzes and factors in relevant regulations and procedures required by local planning and building departments.
- Keeps himself/herself fully informed on energy sector, technologies, policies, government regulation, industry trends affecting renewable energy and energy storage.
- Contributes to budget and PLT exercises over the countries / projects within his perimeter.
- Contributes to defining ace matured and secured milestones in cooperation with ICT.
- Provides Return on Experience (REX) based on his projects and contributes to improving the development processes.

•REN Business Unit:
o REN is Total Energies’ Division in charge of the development, construction, O&M, asset management and financing of renewable projects : large and small scale (distributed generation) solar, onshore and offshore wind, off-grid energy, storage.
o Its strategic objective is to accumulate 35 GW by 2025, 100 GW of operational renewables by 2030 (end of April 2023 baseline : 18,2 GW)

•Projects Division:
o As part of REN’s new organization, the Projects division is dedicated to managing projects in the development phase, while contributing upstream to the maturation of opportunities under the guidance of the Business Developers.
o It is also responsible for overseeing the execution of post-NTP projects, both during construction and commissioning, and for supporting the handover to the Asset & Countries Division for the operation phase.
