Job Purpose
Direct and participate in geological activities in assigned fields, Accountable for acquisition and interpretation of accurate geological data and construction of geological models to ensure accurate simulation of reservoir, calculation of recoverable hydrocarbon in place and optimization of field development and reservoir management programs.
Initiate and follow up closely on all geology related studies in new reservoirs carried out by consultants or shareholders in assigned field/concession area.
Job Specific Accountabilities
• Supervise and participate in geological reservoir studies aimed at constructing and/or improving geological models including 3D static models.
• Coordinate and validate the preparation of geological requirements and predictions of appraisal and development wells.
• Assists in integrating geological study findings with other studies undertaken by the assigned team. Provides advice to other team members on reservoir geology aspects of the study.
• Coordinates and participates in the preparation of reservoir appraisal, reviewing and evaluating test results.
• Participates in contracting activities related to reservoir geology special field testing. Includes defining scope of special test required, preparing specifications, evaluating bids and recommending final award and contract features, as assigned.
• Ensuring contractors’ compliance with contract terms and schedules by monitoring progress and performance through regular activity reports.
• Reviews and/or prepares study progress reports and ensures adherence to Company and professional standards and procedures established for such studies.
• Ensures the proper receipt, calibration, plotting tabulation of data and updating of database, used in reservoir geology studies
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree Geology or equivalent
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
8 years of experience in Petroleum Geology including at least 4 year in carbonate reservoir geology.
