Safety Engineer

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Monitor, Implementation of approved project health and safety plan.
• Audit compliance with HSE project and local regulations and procedures.
• Promote site awareness, Inspect fixed and mobile plants and equipment.
• Investigate construction incidents and accidents.
• Participate in the development of safety programs.
• Participate in the project HSE training programs.
• Conduct safety inspections and try to eliminate unsafe practices and conditions.
• Suggest ways to fix unsafe conditions in the work areas.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on safety performance.
• Train on-site personnel in safety.
• Coordinate with contractor’s health and safety team.
• Monitor compliance with project environmental requirements and report environmental.
• Hazards and violations.

Qualifications

• EXPERIENCE
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in safety management.
• BS Degree in Engineering.
• Certificate from Internationally recognized safety bodies. (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Knowledge of system auditing.
