• To ensure and monitor that the shipyard strategies are being implemented effectively and accurately

Purpose:
To ensure compliance with Shipyard’s rules and regulations
• To maintain good working relationship with owners’ representatives and respond to their requirements in professional & timely manner

•To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.
Authority:
•To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.
Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Act as principal point of responsibility for all aspects of vessel fabrication, repair, and maintenance.
Assist project and planning teams in developing project plans and ensuring projects are delivered within budget, on schedule, and within scope.
Prepare project construction budgets by analyzing technical drawings, updating specifications, and projecting costs.
Assign responsibilities, mentor project teams, and develop economical state-of-the-art structural systems, resulting in estimated initial cost savings.
Coordinate with estimation team for project estimation and project schedule.
Ensure Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of Shipyard projects to help organize and manage the total work scope.
Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Ensure project execution is within budget and schedule while maintaining compliance with corporate standards and guidelines.
Organize and monitor fieldwork activities, as well as coordinate with minimum subcontractors on a daily basis.
Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted along with invoices to client/owner representatives.
Ensure completion certificates are signed off appropriately.
Coordinate with the client throughout the project to meet their expectations and ensure satisfaction.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Professional Qualification:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or any related field
Professional Experience:
•4-6 years experience in Project Management from leading shipping companies
Geographic Experience:
GCC or Europe Preferred
Computer and Language Skills:
•Good knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD and Oracle applications
•Fluent in English – both written and spoken; Arabic a plus
Market / Industry / Functional Knowledge:
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hull and steel repairs, related HSE regulations, QMS such as ISO9001, Understanding of PM practices, should possess driving licenses
