Project and Service Engineer – Marine Solutions

Job Description

Emerson Automation Solutions offers a range of ‘Marine Solutions’ for measurement and analysis. This includes a Radar Tank Gauging System, Valve Remote Control System, Micromotion Coriolis Flow, and Pressure and Temperature measurements. These help ensure safe ship operation. Emerson’s products allow customers to act before equipment problems cause downtime. As a Project and Service Engineer, you will work directly with Emerson’s key customers in the Marine and Offshore industry.

Based in Dubai, we are responsible for the Middle East, Africa, and India region. We have a new job opening in our successful Marine Service team (MTM). This team is part of our larger Measurement Solutions business.

You will help grow the Marine Business in India and the Middle East and Africa regions. Your job will be to support both the Project team and the Services Team. You will help customers address their problems and needs.

Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following

  • Preparation of project documentation such as drawings, manuals, certifications, dossier etc;
    as required.
  • Review RFQs and technical enquiries and coordinate with Sales/project proposal submissions.
  • Liaise with factories and ensure customer requirements are communicated optimally and completed as per the project execution plan.
  • Perform onboard service and onsite commissioning within the region and worldwide whenever required.
  • Participate in the testing, calibration, and verification of system setup of Emerson products and supplies of Marine systems.
  • Understanding the customer requirement fully to provide an efficient and optimum solution.
  • Provide comprehensive remote support to customers to ensure their continuing dedication.
  • Setting up, installing, configuring, and maintaining simulation/demo tools or systems in the workshop/office as required
  • Carrying out “On the Job Training” when possible, for the rest of the team to share knowledge and experience.

What do I need to be considered for this role?

You are willing and freely able to travel up to 50% of your time across the Middle East & Africa and further afield. Also, occasionally required to travel during your evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Electrical/Electronic, Marine or Instrumentation
  • AutoCAD knowledge is crucial.
