Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Planning Engineer to join our team! In this role you will track Progress, Manhours and Cost as compared to the schedule and assist the Project Managers to perform financial analysis related to projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performs various assignments requiring conventional planning expertise, but typically include complexities such as conflicting planning requirements and/or difficult coordination requirements. Gathers, compiles, and analyzes data on economic, social, and physical factors affecting land use.
- Confers with local authorities, civic leaders, social scientists, and land planning and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, transportation, industrial, and community uses.
- Develops recommendations based on governmental measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, housing, and transportation to control and guide community development and renewal.
- Prepares, coordinates, and facilitates public involvement and consensus-building meetings and workshops.
- Reviews and evaluates environmental impact reports.
- Coordinates Reuse and Redevelopment Master Plans.
- Oversees work assignments of technicians and/or lower-level Planners.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
- BS degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management, with minimum 5 years of planning experience in infrastructure; with emphasis on Water and utilities, residential and non-residential modular prefabrication.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of Primavera P6 and efficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Able to manage multiple project schedules with interfaces and preparing regular program reporting to management level.
- Knowledge of engineering, construction tools and general processes for infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
- American Institute of Certified Planners Certification is strongly preferred at this level or other related certifications.
- Licenses and Certifications.
