Job Description
Position Summary
The Operation Director is responsible for the operations & maintenance of Beaat and Norm Plants. He / she implements, manages a safe, environmentally compliant plant that meets the site goals and provides service to its customers.
He / she reports to the Magma General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in company setup and operation review.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal activities in compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage master work schedules reflecting treatment and disposal capacities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop communication methods for schedule fulfillment, delays, and changes in treatment operations.
- Supervise facility workforce and ensure effective use of employees.
- Monitor operation budgets and implement controls.
- Participate in asset, operations, and maintenance annual budget development.
- Implement asset upgrade works to comply with Veolia standards.
- Coordinate and provide training programs.
- Upgrade facility procedures and performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operating reports.
- Evaluate personnel and make recommendations for promotions and job re-assignments.
- Provide incineration plant financial projections.
- Ensure systems for preventative maintenance planning.
- Final decision-maker for all waste approvals at the incineration plant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Environmental
- 10+ years of experience in the chemical waste or chemical processing industry with managerial and production operations is required.
- Hazardous Waste experience with Incineration performing a broad range of operational and maintenance planning activities.
- 5+ years’ experience in the Middle East.
- Work positively in multinational teams; high cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity
- Ability to work in CICPA controlled areas.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines

- Must be fluent in English, Arabic language is not necessary but is a plus.
