Job Description
To lead the technical aspects of contract acquisition and execution, with a focus on O&M related to water treatment facilities, optimizing cost estimations, organizing efficient structures, assessing assets, providing technical support to subsidiaries, offering expertise in water treatment, staying updated on industry advancements and contributing to SAUR’s knowledge base.
Responsibilities
- Handle the technical aspects during the bid phase for upcoming Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Build-Operate-Own-Transfer (BOOT), and management contracts related to water treatment plants. This includes:
- Cost estimation for O&M services.
- Development of the organizational structure required for contract execution.
- Provide technical support and expertise to SAUR DI subsidiaries engaged in O&M activities.
- Offer specialized knowledge and expertise in water treatment topics such as wastewater treatment processes, potable water plants, and the operation of specific equipment. Provide guidance and solutions for technical challenges.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in the field of water treatment. Conduct research, attend conferences, and liaise with technical experts to maintain a comprehensive understanding of emerging trends and innovations.
- Establish crucial relationships with various departments and experts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a Master’s degree (MSc2) in Environmental or Water Chemistry.
- Min of 5 years of experience in water/ wastewater sector.
- Being in field of O&M
- Experience in consulting, and tendering is valuable .
- Fluent in English. French or Arabic is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer technology.
- Familiarity with Activated Sludge Modeling (ASM) software like Biowin or equivalent is a plus.
