Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance in a distributed energy system
  • Working knowledge of SCADA and online systems
  • Proficient in MS Office, PVsyst, CMMS, and other relevant software
  • Proactive in solving O&M challenges
  • Experience with developing tools for data extraction and analysis
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements and regulations
  • Knowledge of contract management and review

Activities

HSE

  • Strict adherence and compliance towards Group QHSE policy (including MAESTRO) with high Quality of QHSE performance and complying with affiliate’s QHSE Policy, Procedures & specific rules & regulations applicable to the area of activity at all times.
  • Participate in the training program to acquire QHSE knowledge and impart this training to colleagues as and when required by Management.
  • Reporting of near misses, incidents, hazards & injuries to line Manager within the time frame as required by Quality, HSE, Energy policies and Manuals.
  • Participate in the investigation and analysis of incidents as and when required.
  • Strict adherence to QHSE requirements with full authority to stop any operation for safety reasons.
O&M Engineer will have the following responsibilities in the UAE & Oman asset portfolio:
 

Maintenance

Actively provide support to the team in diagnosing any technical or operational issues encountered during commercial operations

Monitoring

• Day-to-day online monitoring, recording, and identifying incidents that interrupt power generation
• Monitoring the SCADA and online systems for all the plants on a daily basis and notifying the contractors timely if any issues arise

Performance

• Calculate Performance of the assets on an as-needed basis
• Generation of new ideas to improve the performance of the assets in the long run

Process & Tools

  • Implementation and adaptation of the CMMS tool to the Company’s requirementsEnhance the overall reporting system.
  • Ensuring all documents are aligned within and with the online platform during handover to O&M as per our requirements.
  • Is involved at the engineering stage to make sure the O&M activities have well been taken into consideration

Reporting

  • Traceability of any intervention carried out by the O&M Contractors on our client’s site
  • Keeping all the records for breakdowns, monthly reports and PPM plans
  • Record HSE equipment logsheet
  • Extract unavailability events at string level by developing appropriate tool
  • Contract review MOM’s action follow-up

HSE

  • Ensure HSE objectives for DGMEA, are achieved. Demonstrate leadership on all HSE aspects.
  • Support and encourage the establishment of an HSE culture within the team through a proactive attitude (training, HSE Site visit, HSE meetings and incentive actions, etc.), stop dangerous situations, report anomalies and dangerous acts.
  • Contribute to Sustainb’ALL program in line, with the company ambitus
  • Support and contribute to ONE MAESTRO program implementation within Zone.
