Job Description
Site based tactical responder & in charge of shift/team. Responsible for day-to-day management of fire & rescue resources and operational preparedness. Inspect, test, and maintain fire safety and lifesaving equipment. Provide guidance, stretch effective supervision on Tactical Response Team in all fire & rescue activities, and ensure compliance with the safety requirements during normal & critical activities.
Work covers All Upper Zakum Business Units. Post holder work on 12-hour day/night shift basis and if necessary to respond to emergency incidents outside of his normal working shift.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Job Specific Accountabilities
Provides Operational incident response cover as required.
Responsible for the day-to-day effective management of Fire & Rescue resources to ensure they are maintained in a constant state of readiness at all material times.
Ensures that all Fire Team members are trained and competent as per their role requirements with coordination with Senior officer, Fire services.
Maintain personal competences and fitness requirement, undertaken all training and development activities as require to ensure achieving business objectives.
Maintains all records associated with shift team activities, including daily pre-use checks, Inspection, maintenance and testing of firefighting & lifesaving equipment, hot work, standby’s, shift manning and internal training, meeting, etc.
Ensure all primary safety devices / monitoring instruments & equipment are always in operable conditions prior and during hot works and critical / risky activities such as hot works on live equipment / pipelines, vessel entries, pigging operations, structure repairs, plant modification, etc.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Delivers MOCS training to Fire Team members as business requirement to ensure individual role competence is maintained.
Prepare operating procedures, review of emergency plan and provide comments, conducts related Job Safety Analysis or Risk Assessment in his area of responsibility.
Educates site personnel and contractors on hazards of flammable / toxic substance and emergency evacuations.

Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the
approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section’s / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
Daily contacts with all personnel up to Team leader level, receiving work direction from the team leader to
exchange information on all operational accountabilities’ formalities.
Work in accordance with company procedures, Fire and Rescue operations standard and applicable procedures.
External
Deals with Contractors, other partners, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
-Diploma certificate with 4-5 years’ experience in fire & rescue or Secondary school certificate with 5-6 years’
experience in fire & rescue or equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
-5-6 years’ experience involved in firefighting and rescue / fire protection / fire prevention / emergency response and the use of life support / lifesaving equipment within the Oil & Gas industry.
