Job Description
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Master Planning Manager to join our team who can support a team of professionals overseeing every phase of multiple hospitality and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will be required to develop, manage, and/or execute all phases of the scheduling effort for large, complex and demanding projects, utilizing widely diversified knowledge of best practices and drawing upon extensive experience and exposure to various types of projects and clients.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult and complex planning and scheduling problems.
- Interfaces with clients, attends regular meetings, and provides recommendations.
- Participates in the development of the program master coding architecture (WBS, CBS, etc.), interfacing with all relevant departments and functions.
- May lead in the analysis, evaluation, and development of forecasts for project resources and cost.
- Leads the development of the program master schedule and establishes robust schedule management procedures required for managing all types of schedules on the program.
- Manages a team of planning specialists who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, and forecast project schedules and assess the impact of design and construction risks and changes and schedule slippages.
- Leads staff who are qualified to analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report schedule status against an established baseline.
- Coordinates staffing requirements, assigns and supervises project work activities, and trains personnel.
- Completes performance reviews and provides personnel development for the assigned employees.
- Accumulates and accesses historical data, utilizing earned value principles, for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in schedule management on engineering projects. Typically, 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
- GCC experience is required.
- PMO/PMC experience is required.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring
- Requires basic engineering knowledge in civil, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
- Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls Software, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experienced in using risk analysis (QSRA) software.
- Proven leadership capabilities, as well as familiarity with industry practices is required.
- Strong written and oral communication, organizational, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills are required, both internal and external facing.
- Must function effectively under time constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and has the ability to prioritize.
