Job Description
In this role, the Project Manager will be responsible for the Saudi & Bahrain projects related to Grid Automation scope. The key role of the PM is to successfully execute the commercial deliverables of the contract and lead the Operating margins, whilst adhering to the policies and processes set out by the Company and satisfying the Customer.
The projects are mainly related with the Transmission and Distribution Industry in Saudi & Bahrain, following financial and operational aspects: budget, technical & contractual scopes, resources & execution planning. he is also responsible for safety, quality, risks & opportunities management to ensure the highest customer satisfaction & to secure projects Contribution Margin. Additionally, you will be expected to support Tendering functions of Grid Automation portion.
In line with Saudization requirements preference will be given to qualified Saudi nationals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Project execution (from tender to warranty end, including delivery & commissioning activities)
- Responsible to plan, manage, commission, site management and deliver an entire project from transfer through to Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) ensuring that additional business opportunities are pursued and to deliver high levels of Customer satisfaction and maximum margin/value with clear focus on safety.
- Be the prime customer contact for the execution of the contract/project
- Execute Projects in collaboration with EHS, engineering department, contract admin, contract management, finance, procurement & other support functions
- Be accountable for On Time Delivery, Sales and cash-in realization (& accurate forecasting), project Operating Working Capital, Margins improvement & Customer satisfaction
- Execute projects keeping high standards in Safety, efficiency, on time delivery and financial goals as per PMH rules
- Contribute to units’ operational performance by providing accurate forecasts in finance Key Performance Indicators: Sales, Cash & Margin
- Business scope = Grid Automation projects (Protection, SAS , Monitoring & Diagnostics, & Services)
- Follow project management best practices (as per Project Management Handbook and specific Product line instructions), including specific focus on transfer review, project gates reviews and project close-out
- Monthly update on actions plan progress & Sales/cash forecasts
- Preparation and presentation of project reviews
- Contribute to EHS plan, Operation department development & Unit continuous improvement
- Lead to EHS monitoring actions, perform HSVs.
- Follow GE compliance Policies (‘The Spirit and The Letter’) and promote open reporting
- Support Commercial team by return of experience, optimizing project costs & deliveries
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Electrical Engineering degree or relevant background
- Minimum 5 year working experience in Project Management, Contract execution or Operational role
- Engineering and Business knowledge in Grid Automation market
- Significant experience in project-, site management and commissioning in Distribution
- Proficiency in English and Arabic are must
- Good business acumen, execution driven, process appliance, PM metrics, teamwork
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills
Desired Qualifications
- Master in project/business management or similar degree from an accredited university or certification body (PMP, IPMA, aso.) would be advantageous
