Job Description
To lead the instrumentation and control (I&C) technical stream of renewable energy power projects with a focus on solar PV, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Biofuel Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) Plant, 33/132kV Substations, Transmission Lines, Reverse Osmosis Plant, and Sewage Treatment Plant throughout all aspects of the project lifecycle on an isolated grid. This includes managing the energy automation/ SCADA/RTU/EMS/ADMS and OT-ICS Cyber Security of all projects.
- Cover instrumentation and control aspects of Masdar projects and assets
- Screening and due diligence (DD) of projects proposed to Masdar at various project phases relating to I&C aspects
- Performing of engineering activities
- Preparation of I&C related chapters in Request for Proposal (RfP) and tender documents
- RFP bid evaluation regarding I&C aspects
- Participation and support to EPC contracts and Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) evaluation and negotiations regarding I&C aspects
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering or any other related field
• Master’s Degree in Engineering is an asset
Additional Information
Preferred Experience:
• 8-10 years of engineering experience within the power sector with basic exposure to solar PV and other infrastructure related projects (preferably with an EPC contractor, engineering firm or OEM)
• Experienced in software and hardware of SCADA
Job-Specific Skills:
• Knowledge of integration and system level test IEDs, Gateway & SCADA Systems
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles
• Knowledge of traditional energy industry
