Job Description
  • Meets construction management operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and forward thinking
  • Develops project scope of work and technical data sheets based on project objectives and requirements
  •  Performs quality control assessments by reviewing design documents, project specifications and performance standards; recommending actions
  • Review project schedule and monitoring project progress; reporting schedule changes and trends; coordinating activities; resolving problems
  • Monitors project budget by reviewing expenditures, payment application and document checking; administering deign and contractor contracts
  • Assists with the creation project procedures to guide project management staff in meeting project goals and milestones, monitoring and evaluating schedules, identifying variances, tracking and follow up, and implementing corrective actions
  • Assists in preparation of project monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing project data and trends
  • Works with client and contractors to find areas of opportunity to execute project and milestone schedules.
  • Supports meetings with the contractor and/or stakeholders including weekly progress meetings, quality, scheduling and phasing, and other coordination or field activities as they occur
  •  Provides analysis and recommendations to the leadership team regarding contract disputes, schedule variances, change orders (CO) and propose change orders (PCO)
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations
  •  Preparation of project monthly progress reports for presentations at team and executive session meetings
  • Support the higher Managers with site visits, documentation and reports
  • Support the Design Manager with quality assurance reviews, reports and database management.

Knowledge, Skills  and Experience

  • 2+ years experience engaged in design or construction management project
  • Knowledge of construction management, scheduling, estimating
  • Ability to organize and manage contracts and contractors on projects and coordinate with various agencies
  • Ability to read and interpret designs and shop drawing
  • Knowledge of engineering and project principles, practices and procedures, applicable laws
  • Proficient in MS Professional Office Suite including: Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Working in an environment with people of different backgrounds, races and nationalities
  • Ability to work full-time variable shifts including days, evenings, nights, and willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or equivalent
  • Speak and write English fluently
