Job Description
Join our Services_EMEA team within Services division in Qatar as Field Service Engineer (compressors) to help us take Services Middle East to the next level.
Sulzer Middle East is looking for a field service engineer, with strong experience of centrifugal compressors responsible for the overhaul, repair, installation & commissioning of rotating equipment to support our clients based in Qatar.
The Main responsibilities entails
- Provision of safe and effective site and workshop overhaul, repair, installation and commissioning services for all rotating equipment
- Be the first point of contact for allocated customers in respect of any issues relating to agreed on-site scopes of work
- Develop strong relationships with key client contacts
- Be responsible for on-site Health & Safety
- Compile on-site Risk Assessments for scopes of work.
- Lead and supervise on-site repair teams during site contract execution.
- Provide continuous improvement in repair, installation and commissioning activities
- Develop and maintain good and effective relationships with clients to optimise further service opportunities
- Liaise with technical departments within Sulzer to develop engineering solutions
- Manage relevant suppliers and subcontractors
- Compilation of comprehensive site reports in line with company quality management system
- Participate and actively support company initiatives
To succeed in this role, you will need
- Engineering technical qualification
- 10 years’ experience of installation and commissioning activity related to centrifugal compressors and other rotating equipment
- Experience of assembly, operation and testing of compressors and other rotating equipment
- General computer skills (MS office)
- Experience working in the Middle East
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings and data.
