This is an opportunity to join the Measurement Solutions and Systems business unit where our technologies and solutions deliver outstanding Flow measurement and Analytical expertise while providing customers with the confidence and insight as they need to continuously improve safety and efficiency in the most critical process applications. This position is available in Emerson Dubai, UAE office as part of MSS Middle East & Africa organization.
To Lead Engineering activities and be responsible for these activities for assigned project for Measurement Solution – Systems – system provider of state of art Metering & Analytical packages for Middle East and Africa region. Candidate need to collaborate within team members within Measurement Solution – Systems and COE team located in multiple locations to achieve customer approval and deliver high quality project documentation.
Candidate will actively participate during client and project meeting, coordinate with supplier & skid fabricator.
This position requires excellent work ethics, personal responsibility, teamwork, and dedication to meet joint objectives.
Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following
- Review assigned project specification, Project proposal and pre-bid stage technical quires and deviation.
- Assisting PM in technical and planning functions of the project and responsible for Project Management activities in the absence of PM.
- Direct management of multi-disciplined project team in COE team in Pune as well as teams located different parts of the world.
- Assistance to commissioning engineer during the pre-commissioning activities.
- Work with designers to generate and review critical project drawings like P&ID, GA.
- Review project generated FDS.
- Generate/review project instrument, valves & other equipment datasheets/document & specification including sizing – as per VDRL- in accordance with project specification.
- Raise RFQ for Engineering component, review offers and provide technical clearance.
- On hand experience in preparation of project documents; Functional Design Specification (FDS), Factory Acceptance Test Procedure (FAT) and IOM manuals
- Preparation and checking Engineering drawings.
- Generating fabrication specification for assembly work required for skid building.
- Supervise skid installation & assembly in fabricator works.
- Carry out internal & client FAT testing.
- Collaborate with project team-members to ensure smooth project interface & integration.
- Raise to PM any change of scope request from client as part of commented documents.
What do I need to be considered for this role?
- Degree in Instrumentation or Mechanical Engineering.
- 8-10 years relevant Experience in project engineering in Custody Transfer metering skid and Analytical Package manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry equipment, Instruments, Piping and structural work.
- Phenomenal knowledge in application of various types of meters for gas & liquids measurement, good solid understanding of ASME, ANSI, API, API MPMS, ISO & other industry standards related to Oil and Gas measurement services.
- Proficient in Microsoft office like Excel, Word and other engineering software
- Adobe PDF skills.
- Excellent written and Spoken English
- AutoCAD software for design and drafting.
- Excellent analytical & interpersonal skills
