We are looking for an Energy Efficiency Engineer

Responsibilities

  • The energy specialist is responsible for conducting studies and audits in order to model the energy consumption of tertiary and commercial buildings. Their role is to determine potential energy savings in order to propose optimization solutions to be implemented within the framework of a performance contract to be developed;
  • He is in charge of sizing the offer both at the level of utilities (energy, heat, cold, etc.) and at the level of operation and maintenance (Maintenance, GER, EPC). In support of the sales teams, he carries out consultations to define the new equipment to be installed;
  • He assists in the initiation of contracts, the start of operations and the monitoring of indicators to correct any deviations. He is the technical support for the operations of new Veolia Maroc contracts;
  • He manages the monitoring tool for technical data transmitted by customer sites, as well as the development of the necessary software (BDS, e-sight)
  • Alongside technical support, the employee will be required to participate in the development of energy activities, both in terms of strategic and regulatory monitoring and prospecting for potential customers.

Activities 

1 – Audit:

  • Carrying out energy consumption audits of buildings and building energy modeling;
  • Definition of energy saving actions (speed variation, presence sensor, use of waste heat, free cooling, etc.);
  • Definition of the counting plan and taking specific measurements on site if necessary;
  • Analysis of single-line diagrams, PI&D, and other technical documents (functional analysis of automation and BMS);
  • Analysis of invoices, energy consumption;
  • Evaluate ongoing CAPEX/OPEX projects implemented by the client;
  • Assessment of the condition of equipment and proposal for replacement or development with their economic impacts;
  • Carry out an energy audit with expert consultants on specific topics (building envelope, SGB, cooling installations, etc.).

 

2 – Project Management:

  • In collaboration with the sales teams, he participates in the creation of the business plan for the offer and the drafting of the technical offer;
  • Contribute to business development by assessing energy usage, defining scope, providing resources and establishing pricing for successful proposals to ensure business growth.

 

3 – Energy Management / Operation:

  • Develop and implement performance indicators for energy management;
  • Analyze, confirm and explain energy consumption;
  • Manage the effective implementation/operation of the energy savings program and monitoring tool to achieve greater energy savings and continuously improve energy efficiency for Veolia customers.
  • Assists operational teams in implementing actions. He is the benchmark for energy performance;
  • Supporting customers on the ISO 50001 standard;

 

4 – Business Development:

  • Provide technical support during customer meetings to explain the technical offering.
  • Carry out commercial monitoring by participating in forums/trade fairs and identifying potential calls for tender;

 

5- Continuous updating of knowledge and good practices in energy efficiency

  • working with the Veolia Group’s Energy Efficiency experts and communities
  • Engineering school or Master, specializing in Energy
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Holder of a B license essential;
  • Knowledge of Energy Management tools (verification, monitoring, reporting) appreciated;
  • Appreciated knowledge of Procedure Management tools (ISO 50001, Quality System);
  • Knowledge of Energy Performance contracts appreciated;
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Certifications: CEM and CMVP
  • Required language level:
    • French:fluent,
    • English: good level
