We are now seeking a talented Contract Engineer to join our team at our headquarters in Riyadh.
Role Description
This is a fulltime onsite role in Saudi Arabia for a Contract Engineer. As a Contract Engineer, primary responsibility is to manage and administer construction contracts, with a specific focus on FIDIC contracts. You will be involved in contract negotiations, claims management, and the preparation of Variation Orders (VO) and other claims to ensure contract compliance and successful project delivery.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration and management, preferably in the construction field.
- Fluent in English language is a must
- In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contract provisions and standards and other relevant FIDIC publications.
- Proven experience in contract negotiations, ensuring mutually agreeable terms and conditions with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong background in handling contract claims and disputes, including assessing claim validity, evaluating cost and time impacts, and achieving fair resolutions.
- Proficiency in preparing Variation Orders (VO) in compliance with FIDIC contract requirements, including assessing scope changes, estimating costs, and updating project schedules.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor contract compliance, identify and mitigate risks, and conduct contract audits to ensure adherence to FIDIC standards and contractual obligations.
