Job Description
To ensure the seamless execution of project requirements, the Quality Control Engineer implements and tests QA/QC plans, optimizing processes for improved efficiency. By evaluating technical project requirements, they ensure successful execution while enhancing existing process flows.
Key Accountability Areas
- Maintain and study well the project necessary documents such as quality policy, project contract, project specification, quality plan, approved ITP, checklists, approved suppliers list, approved materials list, MOS’s, work procedures, work instructions, project forms/templates, project schedule, etc.
- Maintain the updated basic drawings and shop drawings for the whole project and update them throughout the project ensuring the drawings are always updated.
- Ensure proper and comprehensive understanding for the ITP and its components.
- Coordination with the site engineer for the readiness of the activities for internal inspection.
- Inspection of the completed works “cutting, backfilling, steel reinforcement, concrete pouring, electrical, mechanical, plumping, waterproofing, etc.” reference to the approved ITP.
- Monitor the concrete and grout pouring ensuring the concrete specifications are archived (temperature, slump, strength cubes, etc.), and monitoring the curing process.
- Raising RFI to the consultant for the internally approved works.
- Analysis the rejections from the consultant and re-inspection internally after rectification.
- Issuance observations or NCRs for the improper application.
- Ensure all the activities are executed as per the drawings, specifications, quality plan, approved procedures, work instructions, codes, MOS & DS.
- Ensure all the applied materials are already approved, and the application is reference to their DS.
- Prepare, record, and maintain the necessary site quality documents (MIR’s log, RFI’s log, NCR’s log, etc.).
- Coordination with the QHSE manager for the project quality additional requirements.
- Propose ideas and suggestions for quality improvement.
- prepare and record the lessons learned throughout the project.
