Job Description

The Branch Manager is the primary point of contact for all internal and external project stakeholders, including customer representatives, service suppliers, and head office support. This role is responsible for the efficient, safe operation, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment and systems, such as gas engine power generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems. The Branch Manager develops short- and long-term plans for operations and maintenance and oversees all plant technical staff and service suppliers in daily tasks.

Additionally, the Branch Manager ensures compliance with company policies, safety, and environmental regulations. They report directly to the Power Generation Department Head to maintain a high-quality work environment and meet production, revenue, and expense goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Enforce company policies and safety protocols.
  • Ensure staff adherence to administrative and safety standards.
  • Develop work plans, budget estimates, and resource allocation to meet production targets.
  • Plan, execute, and manage operation and maintenance, including scheduled and emergency tasks.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment faults.
  • Maintain comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance schedules and records.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment to meet required specifications.
  • Analyze data and improve equipment reliability through better maintenance practices.
  • Provide safety measures and staff training, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with customer site management on operation and maintenance tasks.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and oversee procurement.
  • Lead safety programs and promote continuous improvement in all operations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and work environment quality.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for maintenance and spare parts management.
  • Independently execute assignments, ensuring goals align with company policies and objectives.
  • Issue necessary reports and documentation for operational and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree Electrical – Power
  • Ten (10) Years in Electrical – Power Engineering (Operation & Maintenance).
  • Strong background in power generation plant and Medium & Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Network
  • Good command of the English language.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiar with CAD applications.
  • Knowledge of SAP system (Plant maintenance module)
