Job Description
To lead the Details process and Review the Mechanical Shop drawings from start to finish for all Mechanical systems, ensuring that all Shop drawings meet client requirements, are safe, functional, overseeing the development of detailed construction plans. Using Revit program
Key Accountability Areas
- Product Design and Development: Analyzing project requirements and constraints to conceptualize mechanical design solutions., creating accurate and detailed drawings, including orthographic, isometric, and exploded views, using software such as AutoCAD, REVIT
- Design Analysis and Optimization: Must analyze designs to identify potential issues and optimize them for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Mechanical Systems: to have expert for Mechanical systems for buildings, including HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumping, BMS System
- Material Selection: Recommending appropriate materials for mechanical components based on their properties, performance requirements, and cost considerations.
- Dimensioning and Tolerancing: Applying appropriate dimensioning and tolerancing techniques to ensure the accuracy and functionality of mechanical drawings and components.
- Revision Management: Managing revisions and updates to technical drawings, ensuring that all changes are accurately documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other team members to review designs, address technical challenges, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies.
- Quality Assurance: Conducting quality checks and reviews of technical drawings to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and project requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting: Engineers are responsible for creating detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
- Project Coordination: Coordinating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that mechanical design tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensuring that mechanical designs comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards to minimize risks during manufacturing, assembly, and operation.
- Continuous Learning and Professional Development: In a rapidly evolving field, mechanical engineers must stay updated on the latest advancements, technologies, and best practices.
Role Accountability
- BIM Modeling and Analysis: Create/Review the detailed/Shop drawings using the REVIT Program
- Accuracy and Precision: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all technical drawings is paramount, must adhere to industry standards and specifications to produce drawings that are reliable and consistent.
- Interpretation of Specifications: Must interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documents accurately to translate them into detailed drawings.
- Regulatory Compliance: Engineers must ensure that their designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, conducting research, staying updated on regulatory changes, and coordinating with regulatory bodies for certification and approval processes.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication with engineers, designers to clarify requirements, address issues, and ensure alignment throughout the design process.
- Adherence to Regulations and Standards: Compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices is imperative to ensure the safety, reliability, and legality of designs.
- Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Engineers are responsible for identifying and resolving technical challenges that arise during the design and development process.
- Development: Develop and create /Review the shop drawings on Revit program for the mechanical systems (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumping, BMS System)
- Manufacturability Considerations: Ensuring that designs are manufacturable within budget and time constraints, considering factors such as machining, casting, molding, and assembly processes.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other engineers, designers, and stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems into larger projects and ensure compatibility with other components or subsystems.
- Document Management: They may be responsible for organizing and managing a library of technical drawings and related documentation, ensuring that they are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Adhering to Safety Standards: Ensuring that drawings comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations is essential to maintain safety and quality in mechanical engineering projects.
- Problem Solving: Resolving technical challenges and issues that arise during the design process, using creative

Academic Qualification
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
