Job Purpose:

  • To ensure with the team a timely and up-to-RSG-standards delivery of the various projects that fall under the Environmental Programs function which sits under the Environment and Sustainability department at RSG. The function covers a wide range of projects including marine and terrestrial conservation, restoration, and enhancement projects (such as mangrove afforestation, coral restoration, tree rescue, native vegetation rehabilitation, wildlife etc).

Job Responsibilities:

Environmental Programs Planning and Implementation

  • Support in developing action plans and schedules for programs and projects.
  • Working with the larger team, carry out the necessary field tasks that are required to deliver the various projects. This includes various activities such as site visits to monitor and assess progress as well as to oversee the delivery of any appointed third parties to ensure a timely completion as well as a satisfactory quality of the works.
  • Support in reporting on the function’s projects progress to the upper management as and when required.
  • Review of any appointed contractors’ daily, weekly, or monthly reports where applicable to ensure these reflect actual progress on site.
  • Provide input into coordination aspects with other teams within the department and the broader RSG teams

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports

  • Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions .
  • Assist in developing and implementing the set procedures, protocols, and industry’s best practices
  • Assist and support in the preparation of accurate and timely functional reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment

  • Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the function’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or professional equivalent in an applicable discipline (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Earth or Biological Science, Botany, Zoology, etc.)
  • Minimum experience of 5-7 years in an Environmental based role with career progression.
